Hmm... I think you're wrong on this one Susan. There was a time when what you say about Dev might have been correct, but it's been ages now since we've seen that Dev. If I remember correctly, it was her that started up the "Silver living" thread. If you've been reading Dev's posts they only reflect the sweeping changes she's gone through this past year as well as show her maturing into a lovely woman. I think, in this instance, *you've* crossed the line. If anything, your comments should have gone to Dev privately. She has grown so much this past year and comments like yours aren't helpful. In trying to "help" Devon, you yourself have come across as condescending. This board is for us to express our feelings and feel supported, right?

Thanks girls. That really means a lot to me, and I definitely needed that. Admittedly going through a rough patch at present. Nick has just moved to Perth, which closes off that chapter of my life for good now. :( To add insult to injury, I've had someone I really care about lead me on and mess with my head. That situation came to a head last night, hence the slight tangent. (Sorry Tors.) *sigh* I know it'll all work out how it's supposed to in the end, but it doesn't seem like it sometimes.

Thanks again.
:hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

I really, really do understand and sympathise. I'm sorry that sometimes I come across as cold and unfeeling... it's hard for me to express certain emotions in a way that others will understand... but I do feel for ya, hun.

I think most reasonable people would understand that Dev didn't really mean her comment literally. Anyway, Dev.. wishing you all the best as you make your way.

^They told us we can't do that. :(

GODDAMNIT ITUNES WTF

I really, desperately want the new Celtic Thunder cd. It isn't available on the Aus itunes, so I bop over to the US store. It says "Fuck you, buddy, Australia only for you!"
i feel you. before moving to Sydney i searched the US itunes store for an aussie band and they didnt have it. so of course i pop over to the Aus itunes store and they have it. they didnt like my US address so i made up a fake Aus address but then they recognized that my credit card number was not an aussie number. bastards. also found one of those websites that has free streaming tv shows cannot be accessed from aus cuz they identifiy your ip address as being overseas.

i feel you. so stupid, especially when you are willing to pay money.

I wonder if the copyright crap would allow someone to gift me the album on itunes. Maybe I'll call my dad and ask him.
not sure how you would gift an album on itunes. why dont you get your dad to buy it for you and then email it to you? if it wont fit in an email you can put it up on a secure server for download. i've downloaded music from my brother this way.

My mom sent me the album.

And Suzn, while I respect your opinion, that post came across as more condescending than anything Dev has written here.

The new Google? SUCKS OMG SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS. It's too busy, too cluttered, with too many sponsored links. This morning I was trying to order flowers for my mother in the US. Even though I was on google.com not google.com.au, ALL the sites that were coming up were .au sites.

Why do they have to change something that was working great?

Ewww... I don't like the new Google either! Btw - proflowers.com is great for flowers at home. It's a national delivery and they do GREAT flowers. Super fresh and last for ages and I think the prices are pretty good. I always order from there when I have to send flowers home.
