Did not have tickets to AC/DC last night in Perth, but got to hear them live so to speak, at a park just outside of the Subiaco Oval where they were playing. My husband and I along with a couple of hundred other people brought beer, wine, etc., and sat on blankets on the grass and listened to the music on a beautiful, warm, starry WA night.

I just left a message for the casting director of "Hairspray!" (the one that will be playing at the Princes Theatre in October...PROFESSIONAL THEATRE!). If I get an audition, it will be f*cking amazing regardless to whether I get in! And if I get in, I might very well die.

Totally surprised..... I found a variety of flavors of PopTarts in a 2 pak size in Darlinghurst yesterday at the "Convenience Store"! I was about to get something healthy and then I saw the strawberry PopTarts looking right at me :D YUM!

I "grew a pair" today and sent the bloke that asked me out a message telling him to try again sometime. ;) He's coming into the office on Tuesday to do something for us (even though he could have worked with my co-worker on it tomorrow), and I do believe he may, in fact, try again! ;)
Any luck today, Dev???

Spent the day with my Sweetie, and went out for a GREAT lunch! :yaay:

I'm curious as well Dev!! You have had so many things going your way these last few weeks. It really is refreshing to read. :) Thanks for this post, it inspired me to blog. I've been in a funk lately and haven't had much to write about and this gave me positive inspiration. My biggest silver lining yesterday was that Gossip girl finally returned (I download it on itunes). Seriously, it made me so happy- gay, I know. So far no big silver linings for today- but it's still early so I'm sure something happy will turn up. I'm about to have lunch with Val, that could be it. :)

LOL Naw. ;) I don't think he'll ask me out after all, but that's totally cool! I'm just proud of myself for being brave! :) Totes a first!

My silver linings for today are a) my boss let me have an interesting chiropractic book I've been reading since it was my last day at the company (boo!), b) my exercise bands arrived in the mail today, and c) I came home to find a BEAUTIFUL postcard from a certain YDU'er that recently visited New Zealand. ;)

My silver lining for today is that in two weeks I start a new job (new role, same company) and in three weeks we have a four-day weekend! I love Aussies and their Easter Monday!!

Sweet, Natasha! =) What will you be doing now?

I started my new job today (administration/customer service/sales). It's definitely a step up from previous positions. I'm feeling a bit brain-fried at the moment from all the new information, but I reckon it'll be sweet. And now I'm sitting here with charcoal chicken and potatoes...admittedly not the healthiest choice, but you have to indulge yourself once in a while. ;) (Mmmmmmmm..........)

Haha, that's okay Dev, I'm sitting here eating chocolate chip cookies for dinner! No shame ;) Besides, you deserve a treat after your first day on the job! Good luck, I'm sure you'll be great!

The new job will be, in the simplest terms, analyzing how much beer we sell through all the Woolie's liquor stores across the country and reporting back as to why we sold that much v what we planned. Should be interesting!

After 2.5 years of living in Australia, I have my first job interview tomorrow!!! I got the call today at 5pm and the interview is at 2:30 tomorrow. I work in the morning for my current job so it doesn't give me a lot of time to prepare. It's for a part-time marketing and events assistant position. Not sure what the wage or specific job duties would be yet so I don't want to get too excited. I'm just happy someone called me back. :)

And after I got the call, I decided I would be too busy researching and preparing (and packing... I leave for Africa Saturday) to cook. So I decided to order an oh-so-unhealthy pizza for dinner.

Congrats on the job Dev. Good luck with the new job natasha.

Congrats on the new job Dev and to Natasha too. Hope the interview goes well Elsja. Africa?! You must be sooo excited! Are you flying direct to Johannesburg?

Speaking of food ... I had grilled salmon & a salad for dinner, followed by a bowl of Special K for dessert.

Susan wins for most healthy!!!

Yes we're flying direct to joburg and then flying down to capetown. We're there for 11nights and then we go to Namibia for 7 nights. We have some friends that moved to capetown so we're enjoying free accomodation for a majority of the trip. :)
